My approach

After over 25 years of teaching all forms of fitness, I've come to the conclusion that the most effective way to achieve an improved posture and a strong, slim sculpted body is through a combination of Pilates and Yoga.

Good posture is vital as any exercise performed with bad alignment will not help anyone’s shape and may lead to injury. Most clients want to streamline their body as well as improve posture and fitness.

Paula opened Bodytalk Fitness Centre in 1981 after establishing a large following for her aerobic classes. The business operated successfully for 15 years, being one of the first centres in Edinburgh to introduce step and Bodypump. She has since developed a successful fitness studio, The Tone Zone, with her daughter Nikki, expanding her individual work with clients.

5 years ago she changed direction and moved towards a more holistic approach incorporating her existing counselling practice with specialisation in Yoga and Pilates.

Experience Fitness

Paula has a range of private Pilates and Yogasculpt classes and personal training clients, also she offers sessions to schools and corporate clients, including Royal High School, Trinity Academy and Boroughmuir High School.

Her corporate clients include Scottish Widows and Standard Life. She is enthusiastic about how Pilates can help those clients who may have extra difficulties and has worked with people suffering from Multiple Sclerosis at Craighall Centre and Parkinson's disease through the Parkinson's Society.
