Casework Supervision

Approach

You'll come into a calm and open reflective space to review your client work. A pit stop to refuel and re-energise. To help you develop professionally I’ll focus on your counselling strengths primarily and how you can both magnify and deploy these with even greater effect. We’ll also work to ensure the areas you need to become stronger in so you can feel more confident.

We’ll look in depth at the transferential relationship and how to deepen your personal awareness of its impact on the therapeutic relationship.

I am a psychodynamic, integrative therapist and use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to understand the interactions between the therapist and the client.

Exploration of the subjective 'self' of the therapist will form an important part of our work together. We will use your experience while sitting with your clients to enhance, deepen and enrich the therapy, enabling the client to find a clearer sense of own authentic self. The use of therapeutic sensory experiential tools may help us to access transferential responses live in the supervision relationship. I hope we can share this exciting rewarding journey together, both learning alongside each other.

The strength of our relationship is critical if you are to really benefit from supervision. I like to review how we are working on a regular basis to enhance our work together.

When it comes to CPD I am happy to act in a mentor role passing on what I've learnt. I attend international conferences in London, Europe and USA and bring back up to date research, new understanding and practical therapeutic suggestions to enable us to become part of a stronger developing field.
